These are just really really delicious sandwiches. The garlicky, seasoned mayo mixed with the tender, slow-cooked beef makes these taste extra special even though they are still really easy to throw together. We love to put a round steak in the slow cooker on a Sunday morning and have these on Sunday evenings with fries and a salad.
Ingredients (Step 1):
1 Round Steak (approx 2 -3 lbs)
1 packet Ranch seasoning mix
1 cup beef broth
1 whole onion, sliced
Put the onion slices in the bottom of a slow cooker and place the round steak on top. Mix the ranch seasoning with the beef broth and pour over the top.
Cook on high for 4-6 hours or until the round steak is tender and falls apart easily.
Remove the steak from the crockpot, remove any bones, and cut the steak into bit-sized pieces.
Return the steak to the onions and juices in the crockpot to keep warm.
Ingredients (Step 2):
1 cup mayo
1 Tablespoon minced garlic (more or less to taste)
1 Tablespoon mixed Italian seasonings
Hamburger or sub buns
Arugula
Cheese
Mix the first three ingredients together and spread on toasted buns. Add the steak, cheese, and arugula.
Enjoy!
