We can’t take a tour and show the sheep without showing the Great Pyrenees dogs. These guys keep the sheep safe and have saved us thousands in animal and fence losses. Our dogs, Duke, Bear, and Lady patrol our pastures and don’t let anything in (or even near) the pastures. While they bark and ward off intruders, they are also big and cuddly at the same time. They are gentle with our kids, and they love all of the livestock. I still don’t know how these dogs do it - they know the difference between someone safe and an intruder, but they are truly remarkable.
