I don’t know if there is an easier or tastier meal than this one. It comes together in just minutes, and it cooks while you are free to do other things. We usually eat this with mashed potatoes, but often we also put the brats in hot dog buns and top them with the kraut and a squeeze of mustard - yum!
Slow Cooker Lamb Brats and Kraut
2 lb lamb bratwurst
2 28 oz jars of sauerkraut
1 large apple, peeled, cored, and diced
1.Brown the brats over medium heat (sometimes we grill them instead) for 3 minutes or until slightly browned, but not fully cooked.
2.Add the remaining ingredients, including the brats, to your slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with potatoes and fresh bread.
