Turkey breast is notorious for being dry, but I will guarantee you that this will be the best turkey burger you will ever eat. These are not dry, they are flavorful, and they are downright delicious. In fact, we often have guests ask for seconds of these over beef burgers! The best part is that they are 100% white turkey meat, so they are low in saturated fat and calories, but high in protein.
• 3 lbs ground turkey breast
• 1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
• 1/2 cup finely diced onion
• 2 egg whites
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
• 2 t. Italian seasoning
• 2 t. minced garlic
• 10 shakes Worcestershire sauce
• 2 t. soy sauce
• 1 t. seasoned salt
• 1/4 t. ground black pepper
Mix all ingredients together and form into 9 patties. Cook burgers in a greased skillet over medium heat until they reach 165 degrees. Or, for maximum flavor, grill them (grease your grill grates well) until the patties reach 165 degrees. Serve with your favorite toppings.
We like to make these patties ahead of time and freeze them. Just follow the recipe, form the burger patties, and store them between sheets of wax paper in a container in the freezer. They can be put straight on the grill frozen - don’t forget to grease the grill grates…turkey sticks!
